This event is only open to federal employers. Participants will include current and former AmeriCorps VISTA members along with returned Peace Corps volunteers and staff.

About AmeriCorps VISTA

AmeriCorps VISTA members—and Peace Corps volunteers—are uniquely situated to work in the federal government as they are granted Noncompetitive Eligibility (NCE) at the successful completion of their service. As you may know, NCE is a fast-track hiring authority, which empowers a federal agency to hire a candidate without going through a formal review process.

AmeriCorps VISTA members make a year-long, full-time commitment to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. They focus their efforts to build the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of organizations that fight illiteracy, improve health services, foster economic development, and otherwise assist low-income communities.
